"Be inspired, not retired"

Flintshire u3a is an organisation for retired and semi-retired people. It provides a friendly environment in which members can meet socially, develop new and existing interests, acquire new skills and knowledge and, above all, have fun.

Flintshire u3a has nearly 900 members with 63 interest groups.

Why not join us to develop new interests, make new friends, at the same time having fun. We get together to learn from each other, share life experiences, share ideas. No qualifications are needed or offered; learning is defined in its broadest sense from each other.

There is no age limit, just not being in full time employment, with time to spare to have fun. You are welcome to attend the interest group of your choice for a single "taster" session before deciding to join Flintshire u3a. For further details please contact groups@flintshire-u3a.co.uk

If all this sounds appealing, just click here to join.

We are part of the national u3a movement, one of over 1000 local u3as with 400,000 members throughout the UK.

Whether your ancestors were rogues or royalty, rich or poor, we want to hear about them and help you discover more about them.
We will be exploring the basic sources to get a family tree started,

Our Showcase Group of the month

Family History

The group is for those who are curious about their ancestry, both beginners and the more experienced. It doesn’t matter if your ancestor’s surname is common or rare, it can be researched.
At each meeting, the group adds to a list of what they would like from the group, which is included on the agenda for future meetings, or it could be an open meeting where everyone talks about their research successes, failures and ‘brick walls’.
